To try and brighten spirits during one of the most heated and controversial presidential election cycles to date, The Honest Company tasked us with creating a video that would feature babies clad in their limited-edition bipartisan diapers that have both donkey and elephant illustrations on them.

We paired upbeat visuals of babies playing and hugging the animals of both political parties with the classic song ‘Why Can’t We Be Friends’ by War, to encourage unity between Democrats and Republicans, and to drive home the point that the innocence of childhood prevents us from seeing the world through a political lens.

The Honest Co. asked us to create a second spot that would aid in the shift from “Lifestyle Brand” to a “Family Brand” by going back to putting the focus on babies, which was something the brand moved away from in recent years.

In this spot, in addition to putting adorable babies front and center, we were able to tap into another one of moms’ greatest loves — fashion, to give these diapering moments a smile by bringing their bold, graphic diaper patterns to life.
